Good Life Aquatics
Pearl Platy
Xiphophorus maculatus: Pearl Platy
These fish are stunning to behold, with their clean pearl colored body that shimmers in the light as they swim. Unlike other tropical fish both sexes will look amazing in your personal aquascape, because both males and females fully display this elegant coloring, offset by their translucent fins. Females mature to 2.5 inches, and males mature to a slimmer 2 inches in approximately 4 months. You will receive three unsexed pearl platies. Their bodies have a pearly sheen in low light, but they can flash bright electric blue in the right light. The unique color of these fish will make them stand out against plants and backgrounds, adding movement and interest.
Juveniles now, your platies will grow and establish their colors and size within a few months. Platies are great community fish, and if you’re interested in multiple orders, please email us at goodlifeaquatics@gmail.com to ask us about a discount for bulk fish and combined shipping. We also offer breeding pairs by request!
Your fish are born in the U.S. and are raised with extreme care by Good life Aquatics. They live in pure PNW well water with a PH of 7.4, TDS 250. Their diet consists of high quality fish foods, Ark BioRite, and daily baby brine shrimp.
All young are birthed into their own aquarium and raised there for two months or until sexing. We do not use breeder cages or continuously use nets to move our fish to other tanks. All of our tanks have sand bottoms, matten filters, and are home to live plants. This includes our thriving Pistia Stratiotes (water lettuce), where, among its large roots, the dames birth healthy fry.
Good Life Aquatics prides itself on the health and welfare of your fish. If you have any questions or concerns, please message us!
