Juveniles now, these fish will mature and grow out in color and size after you have received them. You will receive fish approximately 8 to 12 weeks of age. Our pictures represent the Sire and Dames as well as males and females of different ages to show how they may mature over time.

Their charismatic orange color is sure to make them stand out! Males mature to 2 inches. Males have platinum / gold bodies that drawn with age. Near their head, they have metallic hues that vary in different lighting. Near their tail, they have subtle dark navy blue hues. Their black dumbo pectorals complement their most unique feature; splendid red and black mosaic patterns on the dorsal and caudal fins. Females mature to 2.5 inches by 6 months. Females have a silver body. Their dorsal fins and tails are a mix of electric blues and periwinkle purples that are faintly patterned with black markings. Easy to care for, these fish are a stunning addition to any aquarium.

Your fish are born in the U.S. and are raised with extreme care by Good life Aquatics. They live in pure PNW well water with a PH of 7.4, TDS 250. Their diet consists of specialty high quality fish food from Ark BioRite. 

All young are birthed into their own aquarium and raised there for two months or until sexing. We do not use breeder cages or continuously use nets to move our fish to other tanks. All of our tanks have sand bottoms, matten filters, and are home to live plants. This includes our thriving Pistia Stratiotes (water lettuce), where, among its large roots, the dames birth healthy fry.
